- 17:00 Uhr: Guided Tour of the Main Building of the University of Rostock
The tour includes the Treasury, the visible storage collection featuring the Atlas Clock, the Rectors’ Portrait Gallery, the historic Assembly Hall, and the Council Chamber of the University, as well as drawings by Paul Mönnich.
- 18:00 Uhr Guided Tour of the Zoological Collection
The collection includes marine, brackish-water, and freshwater animals, as well as fish, molluscs, birds, and insects. Highlights include the famous “Arrow Stork” of Rostock from 1822, the male polar bear “Churchill” from Rostock Zoo, and the skeleton of “Sara”, the zoo’s last elephant, displayed in the biodiversity exhibition area, together with additional taxidermied animal specimens on display.
